Born From
The Fire
In 1983, my father started the business. When he started, he got a lot of hiccups; his father didn't support him and didn't give any money. It was an emotional start. He left home and went to Delhi, starting the new business from scratch. He was financially very weak, and also a health crisis started. During that crisis, there was no family and financial support, so the treatment was not available. He regretted deeply for not having insurance at that time—a first need created in life.
He again struggled and earned some money, but it got stolen. He spent time thinking that some recovery mechanism might be there at that time. He wished for a security system, a system where we don't keep money in a pocket but some safe place where money can grow and not be stolen.
We sustained all the difficulties, tackled everything, and again grew. We established our business and shifted from Delhi to Assam. In Assam, due to complex government policies, the business got legally prohibited for the safety of the land/motherland.
Then we came to Mumbai from Assam to find a new foundation. We started steel business, ship breaking, and manufacturing. Then we got a ban at ship breaking at the shipyard in Mumbai. We stepped into trading, realizing that steel is a thing that we never stop, because of which the world will sink or drown. Steel is the core ore which is utmost important for the entire globe; it is steel and petroleum both come from water and land, both are natural resources. And these are core to anything.
We did all these things and business worked well, but one thing was a great hindrance because of which the growth was not fast. We also lacked the power of collective buying power. But the biggest gap was knowledge support; we wish education of these things were present at that time.
When I became a Charated Accountant and we started an organization, we realized the path for growth has been laid down. From inspiring to this journey, we started all of our businesses. So from now onwards, no one else should face the things that we faced. If anyone wants to start the business, we can remove the difficult part from their life. This is the goal of our life. This is how MGA Group comes into the picture.
We have faced this so
you don't have to face the same.
